Can I Wait for Her for Six Whole Years?

My name is Victor, a 300-level student at the University. I met a girl three months ago and since then, my life has been positive. I stopped double dating and I have been trying to be faithful till the end.

However, the issue on the ground now is that she has just been admitted to study medicine overseas, which will take up to six years to complete.

We have discussed this over and over, and she keeps telling me that she will return for me. But I still have the fear of losing her, which has never happened to me before.

My friends say I should forget about her because she will not return. I am confused and don’t want to lose her. Is there hope for me? Should I continue to wait faithfully or forget her?
