The Case of the Disappearing Egg
Has this ever happened to you?
One day I wanted to quickly boil an egg to add to my plate of rice.
I put the pot of water on the fire and set my alarm to go off in 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes the alarm went off and I went to the pot and took off the lid.
To my surprise there was no egg there.
For a brief moment I was taken aback wondering how come the egg had disappeared.
But then it quicly dawned on me that I had forgotten to put the egg in the pot of water in the first place.
So I had just spent the last 15 minutes boiling ordinary water with no egg inside.
Ouch!
I felt so silly.
